Rpigat Tablets (Generic Rivaroxaban Tablets) - Product Information

Rpigat tablets (Generic Rivaroxaban tablets) treat and prevent the formation of blood clots in the body. This is because Rivaroxaban, the active ingredient in Rpigat tablet works by decreasing the clotting ability of the blood and helps prevent harmful clots from forming in the blood vessels.
Rivaroxaban is used to treat or prevent blood clots (venous thromboembolism, or VTE). Blood clots can occur in the legs (deep vein thrombosis, DVT) or the lungs (pulmonary embolism, PE). Blood clots can develop when patients are very sick and cannot move around as much as normal, such as during or after a stay in the hospital. Blood clots could also develop after knee or hip replacement surgery.
Rivaroxaban tablets sometimes used to lower the risk of a blood clot coming back after the patient has received treatment for blood clots for at least 6 months.Rivaroxaban is also used in people with atrial fibrillation (a heart rhythm disorder) to lower the risk of stroke caused by a blood clot.
Rpigat tablets also prevent the formation of blood clots in the veins or blood vessels of patients of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or Pulmonary Embolism (PE). Rpigat tablets are manufactured by Natco Pharma Ltd, India, and are available in the strengths of 10 mg, 15 mg and 20 mg. (Please contact us regarding the 10 mg strength). The price of Rivaroxaban is only USD 0.60 per 15 mg tablet.

We also have in stock Generic Plavix (Clopidogrel tablets) which is a platelet inhibitor and prevents blood clots in coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cerebrovascular disease.

Active Ingredient present in Rpigat Tablets

The active ingredient present in Rpigat tablets is Rivaroxaban. Each Rpigat tablet contains 10 mg, 15 mg or 20 mg of Rivaroxaban respectively depending on the strength of the tablet.

Uses of Rpigat 10 mg, 15 mg and 20 mg Tablets

Rpigat tablets (Generic Rivaroxaban tablets) are used to treat and prevent the formation of blood clots in the blood vessels of the heart and the brain. This reduces the risk of a stroke or a heart attack in people suffering from a condition called non-valvular atrial fibrillation or arrhythmia.
Rpigat tablets are also used to treat blood clots that can form in the veins of the legs after a knee or a hip replacement surgery (DVT). Blood clots can also make their way to the blood vessels of the lungs (PE), and Rpigat tablets help treat those as well. The use of Rpigat tablets will also prevent these clots from forming again.

Rpigat (Generic Rivaroxaban tablets) Dosage – How to take Rpigat tablets

Rpigat tablets (Generic Rivaroxaban tablets) should be taken in the dose prescribed by the doctor and for the duration recommended by the doctor. The tablets should be taken with water along with a meal. If you have trouble swallowing the entire tablet, check with your doctor on alternate ways of taking it.
The recommended dosage for the various indications is given below:
Nonvalvular Atrial Fibrillation:
For patients with Creatinine clearance (CrCl) greater than 50 mL/min: 20 mg orally, once daily with the evening meal.
For patients with CrCl 15 to 50 mL/min: 15 mg orally, once daily with the evening meal. Avoid use in patients with CrCl less than 15 mL/min.
Prophylaxis of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT):
10 mg orally, once daily with or without food.
Hepatic impairment (for nonvalvular AF and prophylaxis of DVT indications):
Avoid use in patients with moderate (Child-Pugh B) and severe (Child-Pugh C) hepatic impairment or with any degree of hepatic disease associated with coagulopathy.
A doctor should be consulted immediately if you happen to take more than the prescribed dose of Rpigat tablets since excessive intake of these tablets could put you at an increased risk of bleeding. Do not stop taking these tablets unless instructed by your doctor to do so.
Rpigat tablets are not recommended for children or adolescents.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Rpigat tablets, take the prescribed quantity as soon as you remember. However, never take more than the prescribed dose in a day. You can continue taking your regular dose at the scheduled time the next day and thereafter.
For instance, you have been prescribed one Rpigat 20 mg tablet a day, but you forget to take it. You only remember the missed dose the next day. Do not try to make up for the missed dose by taking two Rpigat 20mg tablets the next day. Stick to your regular daily dose of one Rpigat 20mg tablet the next day and every day after that.

How Do Rpigat Tablets Work

Rpigat is an anticoagulant medicine. "Anti" means against and "coagulant" refers to blood clotting. An anticoagulant helps keep clots from forming in your blood. They also help stop blood clot growth. Anticoagulants are sometimes called "blood-thinners," but they do not actually thin your blood. They work by blocking the part of your blood that normally forms clots.
Rivaroxaban, the active ingredient in Rpigat tablets, is an anticoagulant. It blocks a blood clotting factor called Xa factor. This reduces the blood's ability to clot and prevents toxic blood clots from forming in the blood vessels.

Rpigat tablets (Generic Rivaroxaban Tablets) should be stored at 25 degrees Celsius or at controlled room temperature away from moisture. Excursions are permitted to (59°F to 86°F, 15°C to 30°C). Protect from light. Do not store in the bathroom. Rpigat tablets should be kept out of the reach of children and pets.

Warnings and Precautions

Haemorrhagic Risk:
Since Rpigat tablets are anticoagulants, anyone taking Rpigat tablets should be carefully observed for signs of bleeding. You should, therefore, be careful in the use of Rpigat if you suffer from health conditions that may result in an increased risk of bleeding. Stop taking Rpigat immediately if it leads to severe hemorrhage.
Kidney:
Please consult your doctor before taking Rpigat tablets if you suffer from severe kidney disease. This is because the condition of your kidney/s may not allow for the optimal functioning of Rpigat tablets. Severe kidney disease also puts you at a higher risk of bleeding.
High Blood Pressure:
Please consult your doctor before taking Rpigat tablets if you suffer from very high blood pressure, but you are not being medically treated for the condition. One of the consequences of high blood pressure can be an increased risk of bleeding.
Lungs:
If you have ever had bleeding in your lungs or if you suffer from a lung disease called bronchiectasis, please check with a doctor before taking Rpigat. Bronchiectasis results in the bronchi widening and filling with pus.
If there is a surgery or another treatment planned to remove blood clots from your lungs, let your doctor know before taking Rpigat so that your doctor can decide whether to prescribe Rivaroxaban or go with another line of treatment.
Stomach ulcers:
Do not take Rpigat if you have ulcers in your stomach since that could mean that you are at a greater risk of serious bleeding.
Surgery:
If you are planning to undergo a surgery, consult your doctor regarding the dosage of Rpigat and the time you should take it at. Your doctor may need to adjust the dose and time or stop Rpigat altogether for a few days before and after a surgery.
Prosthetic heart valves:
Rpigat tablets are not recommended for you if you have ever had surgery to replace a heart valve.
Triple Positive Antiphospholipid Syndrome:
Use of Rpigat is not recommended if you suffer from a medical condition called Triple Positive Antiphospholipid Syndrome. Antiphospholipid syndrome affects the immune system and results in an increased risk of blood clotting.
