The active ingredient present in Flomist Aqueous Nasal Spray is Fluticasone Propionate BP. Each spray of Flomist Aqueous Nasal Spray delivers 50 mcg of Fluticasone Propionate.

Uses of Generic Flonase (Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray 50 mcg)

Flomist Nasal Spray (Fluticasone Propionate nasal spray 50 mcg) is used to treat nasal symptoms such as congestion, sneezing, and runny nose caused by seasonal or year-round allergies. It is a nasal spray containing corticosteriod fluticasone. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation.

Generic Flonase Nasal Spray (Flomist Nasal Spray by Cipla) - Dosage

The recommended starting dosage of Generic Flonase Nasal Spray (Flomist Nasal Spray) for adult patients is 200 mcg once a day regimen (two 50 mcg sprays in each nostril once daily). An alternative 200 mcg/day dosage regimen can be given as 100 mcg twice a day (one 50 mcg spray in each nostril twice daily).
Some patients (12 years of age and older) with seasonal allergic rhinitis may find as-needed use of Generic Flonase Nasal Spray (not to exceed 200 mcg daily) effective for symptom control. Greater symptom control may be achieved with scheduled regular use.

How to Use Generic Flonase Aqueous Nasal Spray

Do not use Generic Flonase nasal spray in larger amounts, or use it for longer than recommended by your doctor. Follow the directions as prescribed for you.

The usual dose is 1 to 2 sprays into each nostril once per day.
Shake the medicine bottle well just before each use.

Before using the spray for the first time, you must prime the spray pump. Shake the medicine well and spray 6 test sprays into the air and away from your face. Prime the spray pump any time you have not used your nasal spray for longer than 30 days, or if you have left the cap off for 5 days or longer. Spray until a fine mist appears.

It may take up to several days of using Flonase before your symptoms improve. For best results, keep using the medication as directed. Talk with your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after a week of treatment.

To be sure the medicine is not causing harmful effects on your nose or sinuses, your doctor will need to check your progress on a regular basis. Do not miss any scheduled visits to your doctor.
Use Flomist Nasal Spray as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and wait until your next regularly scheduled dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose.

Generic Flonase Nasal Spray is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Fluticasone Propionate or to any inactive ingredient present in Flomist Nasal Spray.

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction including hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Stop using Flomist Nasal Spray and call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
• severe or ongoing nose bleed
• sores in the nose that won't heal
• vision problems
• fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms

Less serious side effects of Fluticasone Nose Spray may include:
• headache, back pain
•minor nose bleed
• menstrual problems, loss of interest in sex

• sores or white patches inside or around your nose
