What are Amisulpride Tablets Used For?

Sulpitac tablets, manufactured by Sun Pharma and Soltus, manufactured by Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. contain Amisulpride, and is an antipsychotic medication. Amisulpride tablets are typically administered as oral therapy in patients suffering from acute and chronic schizophrenia. Amisulpride tablets are beneficial for the treatment of positive schizophrenia symptoms such as delusions, hallucinations, thought disorders. Amisulpride tablets (Generic Solian tablets) are also used in patients who display the negative schizophrenic symptoms such as lack of emotional expression and social withdrawal.

Amisulpride Dosage - How to Take Sulpitac Tablets?

You should use Generic Solian tablets (Sulpitac) exactly as recommended by your doctor. Your doctor may suggest a dosage of Amisulpride tablets depending on your medical requirement, body weight, other medical conditions, and current medications. Amisulpride tablets should be taken once or twice a day with a glass of water. You can choose to consume Generic Solian tablets with or without food.
Try to maintain a regular schedule for the medication such that you take Amisulpride tablets at the same time every day, to get the maximum benefit of the medication. Your doctor may alter the dosage of Generic Solian tablets and dosage period depending on your response to treatment.
The recommended dosage of Amisulpride tablets as a single dosage is 300 mg. Patients who need to take doses which exceed this 300 mg limit are advised to split the dosage into half, preferably half in the morning and the other half in the evening. Avoid the abrupt discontinuation of Amisulpride treatment, even if you think that the symptoms have been cured because Amisulpride controls the symptoms of schizophrenia but does not cure them completely.
Stopping the treatment with Amisulpride without consulting your doctor could result in the relapse of the symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, difficulty sleeping or abnormal involuntary muscle movements. The treatment with Generic Solian tablets should be stopped gradually rather than abruptly.

Sulpitac Mechanism of Action - How Does Amisulpride Work?

Amisulpride (Generic Solian tablets) are antipsychotic drugs which are used for the treatment of schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is known to manifest in patients who have a high level of activity of the neurotransmitter called dopamine. Neurotransmitters such as dopamine are responsible for the regulation of mood and behavioral changes. Amisulpride prevents the transmission of dopamine in the brain by blocking the receptors that are involved in dopamine signaling in the brain. This mechanism helps to inhibit the uncontrolled activity of dopamine neurotransmitter and thus treats the symptoms which are typically observed in schizophrenic patients. Generic Solian tablets are useful in the treatment of both positive symptoms (such as hallucinations, disturbances of thought, and hostility) as well as negative symptoms (such as lack of emotion and social isolation) of schizophrenia. This benefit gives Amisulpride tablets an edge over the other antipsychotic drugs because most of them are only effective against the negative symptoms of schizophrenia.

Sulpitac Tablets - Missed Dose

If you miss your regular dose of Amisulpride tablets (Generic Solian tablets), take it as soon as you remember. You can continue you regular schedule the next day. If you remember the missed Amisulpride tablets the next day, take your regular dose and skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to compensate the missed dose.
