Aldactone Tablets (Spironolactone) by RPG - Product Information

Aldactone (Spironolactone) is a potassium sparing diuretic (water pill) that prevents your body from absorbing too much salt and keeps your potassium levels from getting too low.
Spironolactone is a diuretic, which removes excess salt and water in the body. It also reduces androgen levels in women who have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and also reduces male-pattern hair growth (hirsutism).
Aldactone (Spironolactone) is used to treat a condition in which you have too much aldosterone in your body. Aldosterone is a hormone produced by your adrenal glands to help regulate the salt and water balance in your body. Aldactone (spironolactone) also treats fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, or a kidney disorder called nephrotic syndrome. Aldactone (Spironolactone) manufactured by RPG Life Sciences Ltd. is also used to treat or prevent hypokalemia (low potassium levels in the blood).

We also have in stock Generic Altace (Ramipril) which is an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor which is used to treat hypertension inorder to lower blood pressure.

Spironolactone Tablets can reduce male-pattern hair growth (hirsutism), hair loss, and acne in women who have PCOS. Spironolactone used alone can cause irregular bleeding and could cause problems if used during pregnancy. For these reasons, it is usually taken along with birth control pills. Treatment with Aldactone should be continued for at least two weeks, since the maximum response may not occur before this time.
